MICHAEL UIARI
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Michael Uiari has been the Chief Executive Officer of NiuPower Limited since 2019. He has a legal and commercial background with 23 years of broad experience in the PNG resources industry including Orogen Minerals (ASX:OML General Counsel & Group Secretary), Oil Search (now Santos ASX:STO) and secondment to PNG LNG Joint Venture operated by ExxonMobil.
Previously, Michael was General Manager for Business Development at Oil Search Power Holdings – established in 2016 to create viable PNG power solutions in support of Papua New Guinea's development objectives to deliver scalable, reliable and competitively-priced power to communities, businesses, and industry.
Michael has also held senior positions at Oil Search (now Santos ASX:STO) including General Manager Commercial & Legal, and as General Manager PNG Commercial, Legal and Stakeholder Management, VP JV Management and VP Business Development
Michael currently serves as a Trustee Director of Papua New Guinea’s largest superannuation fund, Nambawan Super, with funds under management of A$3bn. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the property trust of the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea.
Richard robinson
STRATEGIC ADVISOR
Richard Robinson has over 40 years’ in the Energy industry including over 30 years in PNG. Over his time in industry Richard has worked for a number of Oil & Gas companies including; ExxonMobil, Woodside, Santos and BP as well as a range of gas transportation organisations and energy sector contractors. He spent the last 10 years of his corporate career with Oil Search and was responsible for their PNG production and drilling operations from 2010 until his retirement in 2013. He now works as a Non-Executive Director and Consultant.
Richard is a Member of the Institution of Engineers PNG and a former Director of the Australian Pipeline & Gas Association. He is also a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed LogiCamms Limited.
Agnes Juwana
FINANCE MANAGER
Agnes Juwana is the Finance Manager of NiuPower Limited since March 2020. Agnes has over 30 years’ experience in the accounting profession, 11 of which have been in managerial roles in a cross section of industries. She has worked with a Big4 accounting firm to large multi-national companies, a state-owned enterprise, managing finances of large donor funded projects as well as working with PNG small to medium enterprises and working for the Government. Agnes holds a Master of Commerce in Professional Accounting from the University of Queensland and is a Certified Practicing Accountant with CPA PNG since August 2005.
